Koljonvirta (Iisalmi, Finland) has a rich and eventful history, known as a battleground of the Finnish War and home to stories of Colonel Sandels, Sven Dufva and the area’s historic trail. The surroundings also include the landscapes and museum of national author Juhani Aho, as well as the former home of Alli Nissinen, Member of Parliament and founding member of the Martha Organization.

In summer, the area is renowned for its popular open‑air theatre. Visitors are welcome to explore the stories and atmosphere on site, as our manor is open year‑round. We offer a relaxed Savonian spirit in the heart of Savo, located about 90 km north of Kuopio, 5 km from Iisalmi and roughly 200 km southeast of Oulu.

Accommodation is available throughout the year in rooms and cottages for 2–6 guests, along with event facilities for groups of various sizes. During summer, we also provide a campsite for caravanners and simple camping cabins. You can even arrive by boat via the Kuopio–Iisalmi waterway. Our café and kiosk offer takeaway options, with breakfast and lunch served daily, and an à la carte restaurant available on site.
